What to expect on your first visit

On the day of your appointment we ask that you show up 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit time. Part of your EMR includes a photograph, which we will take at the desk when you arrive in our office.

Please bring the following to every patient visit:

  • Your license and insurance card
  • All medications you are taking.

This includes prescriptions, supplements, creams, and over the counter. This is to ensure that your medication list is accurate and allows the nurses to check your prescription bottles for necessary refills at the time of the visit, limiting phone calls later on to get this accomplished.

Our intention is that your visit allows us to focus primarily on your care and your health.  Providers at Blairsville Internal Medicine use EMR or Electronic Medical Records. This allows you as the patient to have control and accessibility to managing your healthcare and connecting with your provider online. Access to the Patient Portal is easy and can be obtained in two ways. You can sign up for the Patient Portal through our website by clicking the link at the top of the home page. If you do not have internet access, a computer will be available in the office waiting room. You can also request a paper copy of all patient forms. We do ask that you complete all portal medical history, demographics, and necessary forms or we receive paper copies, at least two days prior to your appointment. Receiving all paperwork including past records prior to your visit allows us to get familiar with you as a patient and complete the majority of the data entry prior to you coming in to our office.  This will help our office to stay on time and focus on your care during your visit.
