Blairsville Internal Medicine is more than just an ordinary doctor’s office. We are a cohesive group that has dependable medical care providers and staff dedicated to meeting your needs. Aside from general primary care, we offer a variety of medical services that can help in improving your health and wellness.
Mary Beth Wiles, M.D.
Mary Beth Wiles, M.D. has been practicing internal medicine in Blairsville since 1979. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Emory. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Lipidology.
Dr. Wiles offers primary care services and subspecialty procedures in cardiology, gastroenterology, and hematology. She performs Upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy as well as bone marrow and stress tests at the Union General Hospital outpatient department. Meanwhile, she conducts Echocardiography, venous, and arterial studies at our office.
She is a loving mother of three adults. In addition, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and cross country skiing. Dr. Wiles is also a member of St. Clare’s Episcopal Church where she has served on the vestry and as senior warden many times.

Mary Elizabeth Wiles, D.O.
Dr. Wiles participated in Joint Enrollment at Young Harris College, receiving a Phi Theta Kappa International Junior College Honors Society induction while a Senior at Union County High. She went on to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Marketing from the University of Georgia where she graduated Cum Laude and received the Governor’s Scholarship.
Additionally, she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) at the Georgia Campus, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, GA. This is also where she graduated with Honors, received the Excellence in Primary Care Award, and the State Medical Education Board of GA Scholarship. Following medical school, she completed a three-year Internal Medicine residency at the Emory University, where she received the Emory Patient and Family Centered Care and Teamwork Award, given to the intern who worked best with patients, family, and staff.
Dr. Wiles completed both the MD (USMLE) and DO boards (COMLEX) prior to her residency at Emory (an MD residency). She chose Emory for residency because of its excellent reputation for training world-class physicians as well as the diversity of pathology and disease seen at its training hospitals (Emory University Hospital, Emory Midtown-Crawford Long, Atlanta VA, Wesley Woods, and Grady Memorial Hospital). In addition, she is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Jill Nielsen, DNP
Jill Nielsen, Nurse Practitioner, is a native of Minnesota. In 1990, she moved to Georgia to attend Emory University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She continued her graduate education at Emory and has been working in the field since 1996 after graduating with dual degrees in Masters of Nursing Practice and a Masters in Public Health.
She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2017 from the University of Tennessee. After, she started practicing in Blairsville in 2002 to have better access to the beautiful mountains and the outdoor activities that she and her family enjoy.
Jill Nielsen is board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management. She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and a Certified Insulin Pump Trainer. Nowadays, she regularly holds prediabetes and diabetes group classes in the community and the office. She also volunteers at Healing Hands Clinic and serves as President of the North Georgia Mountain Chapter of United Advanced Practice Nurses.

Suzanna Pollock APRN
Suzanna Pollock is a native of Memphis, TN where she attended the Baptist College of Health Science (formerly Baptist School of Nursing) at the age of 17 and has continued in the nursing field ever since. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from Chamberlain University and her Masters in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati.
She is board certified as an Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She cultivated a passion for cardiology following a personal experience and has since worked extensively in this area. Her expertise includes post open heart, critical, and intensive care as well as cardiac catheterization lab and heart rehabilitation. In addition, she obtained her Hemapheresis Specialist certification and gained experience working in Home Health therapy.
Suzanna Pollock is also versed in fitness and preventative health. She has completed a wide range of marathons and triathlons and obtained her certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
She moved with her family to Hayesville, NC where the children attended Hayesville schools and then transferred to Franklin, NC for their completion. Having moved back to the area they loved, she joined our practice in 2015. Suzanna also volunteers at Healing Hands Clinic.

LeAnne Flowers, NP
Carol LeAnne Flowers is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with over twenty years of combined medical experience. She graduated her undergraduate obtaining a bachelor’s degree at Auburn University at Montgomery Alabama. She has nursing experience in ICU, CVICU, cardiology, dialysis, emergency, orthopedics, and perinatal care. She graduated with her master’s degree in family nurse practitioner at Auburn University in Auburn Alabama. She graduated with national nursing honors and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society. LeAnne is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and holds current certifications in advanced practice life support, basic life support, neonatal resuscitation provider (NRP), and S.T.A.B.L.E.
